Media enquiries

Journalists, producers, researchers and podcast hosts are very welcome to get in touch.

I am a counsellor and psychotherapist based in Leamington Spa, working with individuals, couples and families face to face and online. I am happy to offer considered, accessible comment on relationships, emotional wellbeing and the realities of therapy.

Topics I can comment on

  • Relationships, couples and communication
  • Relationship breakdown, separation and rebuilding trust
  • Anxiety and everyday stress
  • Grief and loss
  • Trauma and post-traumatic growth
  • Identity and self-worth
  • Neurodivergence, autism and ADHD
  • Addiction and recovery
  • Abuse and coercive dynamics

  • What therapy is really like: how it works, what it costs and how to choose a therapist

If your story sits near one of these areas, please ask. If it falls outside my experience, I will say so, and where I can I will suggest a more suitable source.

How I can help

  • Expert comment and quotes for print and online articles
  • Interviews for radio, television and podcasts
  • Background briefings for features and research
  • Articles and opinion pieces on relationships and emotional wellbeing

Interviews can be arranged in person in Leamington Spa, by phone or by video call.

Making an enquiry

To help me respond well, please include:

  • your name and publication, programme or organisation
  • the topic or angle of your piece
  • the format (written comment, live or recorded interview)
  • your deadline.

I understand that media work often runs to tight deadlines and will reply as quickly as I can.

Please use “Media enquiry” in the subject line.

Ethical boundaries

As a BACP member, I work within the BACP Ethical Framework. This means:

  • I never discuss clients, or confirm whether someone is or has been a client.
  • I do not provide client case studies or put journalists in touch with clients.
  • I do not comment on the mental health of named individuals, including public figures, whom I have not assessed.
  • I will not offer a diagnosis or treatment advice through the media.

Within those boundaries, I am glad to help explain how people experience relationships and emotional difficulties, and how therapy can help.
